We wanted to have famous soba at the restaurant nearby, but there was a long queue that was expected to take an hour tp wait, so we decided to have late lunch here. At around 2pm, there were another 6 guests there. I ordered udon simmered in a clay pot and a small beef and cooked egg rice bowl, which came at 1150 yen. It was tasty but not as excellent. They accept credit card payment, which is unusual for this kind of small eatery, and very helpful for international visitors like me. If I could do 6 stars, I would. The food was phenomenal! I got the Katsudon and the photo doesn't do it justice. The service gets 6 stars too! I finished here after a trip down the cable car where I used all my cash. I was willing to walk over 1 km to the 7-11 but the owner picked me up and drove me down there himself and waited for me!
