I went to Sugar Shack Creamery with my fiancee to get some ice cream recently and had the most interesting experience I think I've ever had. It's been quite a while since my last review, and this is my first one star review I think I have ever left. Going inside, it was honestly quite welcoming. The other customers at the tables gave the building a lived in feel and a nice little atmosphere to sit down and enjoy ice cream with someone you love. That however, stopped as soon as I got inside. The tables, or booths, I guess, seemed almost depressing. What really got me though, was one of the employees behind the counter. While the other employee was super kind to me, one was quite hostile and only spent her time giving me disapproving glares as I spent time in, what I would describe as, "her store". I honestly felt like she was upset I was in there! But I ended up getting some really yummy ice cream with my fiancee from the other girl there. After I went outside to eat with my fiancee, I took a small pace to the glass and I glimpsed the one girl that appeared unfriendly simply staring at her phone waiting for time to pass, or for customers, I guess? But I have to say, I was far from impressed. I thought even when customers weren't around, there was always work to be done, especially with a pandemic going on. All in all, I feel pretty upset with my visit, I feel like I had a perfectly good trip for something as simple as ice cream. But it was pretty much ruined when I felt like I wasn't even wanted in the door. I really hope this place gets their ducks in a row, it has lots of potential to be popular because of it's location. However, before that can happen, I feel as if the attitudes of some of the employees there really could use some work. For now, please avoid going here, I will await and possibly update when there has been improvement. Go somewhere else, your time and money will be more appreciated.
