Bywater Historic District is what you should see after having a meal at Suis Generis. All the customers love great International cuisine at this restaurant. You will be served nicely cooked scallops, fish and steaks. Good cheesecakes, ice cream and pancakes are the tastiest dishes. Get your meal started with delicious wine or good beer. Great iced coffee or delicious lemonade are waiting for you at Suis Generis.
This place is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are found fair here. There is a quiet atmosphere and terrific decor at this spot. As for the Google rating, this restaurant got 4.6.

The chef / owner saw that we were not being acknowledged by the wait staff as we stood at the entrance. He greeted us warmly and got us seated, eventually taking our orders. His recommendation of Roku for a gin and tonic will become my new favorite. A new menu each week in an intimate, funky neighborhood setting will make this a regular outing when we stay in Bywater. What a great evening at Suis Generis. The server/bartender is an incredibly kind soul - open, authentic, warm. We connected immediately. The drinks were delicious (and strong) - I had the housemade chili lime-ade with bourbon. Food was good - small plates are small, so if you have an appetite, get a larger plate. The atmosphere was super chill, and like other places I’ve experienced in NOLA, everyone is so friendly and generous with their kindness. So glad I tried this place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
