Found your place & am I glad we did. Though the decor is rather plain the food is great. We got there sometime between 4:30 & 5:30 p.m. my provider was looking for a place while on the 6th St. bus. At that time of day its rather quiet in downtown LA. All the office workers we're gone for the day so the eatery only had a few customers. We got the lamb shish kabob lunch for $12 for 2 skewers & mine had 3 skewers for $14. The lamb was tasty, having been marinated in something, with a piece of onion between the lamb pieces. We both had rice pilaf and it came with a cabbage & tomato salad with house dressing, hummus with a dollop of olive oil (though mine, I thought, had a bit too much of it), a large pita & pink turnip pickles. & oh yes a grilled jalapeno which I removed as I don't eat fresh chilies. The food was plentiful, fresh & tasted great. I complimented the guy at the register & he told me they make everything in house every day. And it tasted it. The ambience of the restaurant has never been my concern it's the food that I'm there for. Of course, it does add to the experience but if it's not there no stars are taken off. The tables are seperated making the place an airy feel. Anyways, I can't say enough good things about the food. I will certainly get their food delivered in since I found the Sultan Chicken on Yelp. I'm really glad we found your place so seriendipitusly. Thanks for a great meal!
