Summer's restaurant is an institution in Newberry. They have been in business a long time. This is a classic mom and pop type of place that you don't see much of anymore. By the way, the food is delicious. The place is small. For this reason, a lot of people get their orders to go. While you wait, you can watch the ladies behind the counter preparing your meal. My favorite is the Sun Burger, a 4oz bacon cheeseburger. The bacon is always perfectly crisp. I like to add an order of the beer battered onion rings to go with my order. It's always delicious. There are lots of good things on the menu but my family loves their fresh hamburgers. My husband usually gets the Tom burger, an 8oz burger. That's his favorite. This place is extremely casual. It is located right outside what, at one time, was a cotton mill. So, when you're in the mood for good honest folks and a delicious burger, head on over to Summer's.
