Cute hole-in-the-wall with yum cha standards. We arrived late and a lot of the menu had sold out but we enjoyed it all the same. Hands down beats the sole-less, glarey chain joints on the main drag. Price per person: ₱500–1,000 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sumthing, and the experience genuinely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting—simple, clean, and perfect for enjoying good food without distractions. We ordered a variety of dishes: Taiwanese Pork Dumplings, Siomai, Hakaw, Beancurd Roll, and Chicken Feet. Every item came out fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The dumplings were tender and juicy, the hakaw had that perfect translucent wrapper with packed shrimp inside, and the beancurd roll was crisp on the outside with a satisfying savory filling. Even the chicken feet, which not every restaurant gets right, were cooked to perfection. For the quality we got, the pricing felt more than fair—truly worth it for the price. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The owners were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We ended up having a wonderful conversation with them about Taiwanese food culture, and it was clear how passionate they are about bringing authentic flavors to their customers. To our surprise, they even offered free samples of some of their bestsellers, including their scallion pancake, pickled cucumber, and dried pomelo skin. Each one was delicious in its own way and added such a thoughtful touch to the meal. It’s rare to find that level of generosity and genuine care nowadays. Overall, Sumthing is definitely worth coming back to. Great food, great value, and great people behind the counter. If you’re looking for a spot that’s truly bang for the buck, this place is absolutely it. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
