Now the WHITTLE CHIPPY!! WORST CHINESE I'VE EVER HAD!!!I never write reviews but can't believe this place can stay in business even though it's just re-opened. Rice so greasy left loads of oil on plate. The salt and pepper chicken was the worst, absolutely awful. I don't think there was chicken in it but just strips of batter with maybe a couple of chilli peppers. The prawn toast was tiny, oily and bland. Actually felt horrible after eating some of this meal as the rest went in the bin.

Living down the road from this place for the past 17 years should show I have an extensive review about this place. If you're looking for a short read then read this short snippet of what I'm about to say: Go there. The staff are amazing and since the upgrade of the shop and new management of the place as of a year from now, I couldn't recommended a better place for an insanely large range of food from such a well maintained place such as the Sun Hing.But here's the full review for those that are more interested in everything about this place.So let's start 10 years ago. 10 years ago, the shop was run owned by a husband and wife who were of Chinese origin. The shop deteriorated over time and became more of an avoidable place for food than the whole hearted community chippy that it is now. This unfortunately lasted for a total of 9 whole years (technically it could of been longer but, 10 years ago, I was 7 which would mean knowing of the shop further than 10 years would be useless to the contribution of information to this review).Anyway, 1 and a half years ago, the husband of the business was killed from a fall down the stairs which was believed to be of the wifes doing which meant constant police intervention and ultimately, the closure of the shop. This hole in the community heart of whittle was shortly filled again by new management. The new staff here now are beyond amazing. I know most of the staff by a first name basis and have long talks with them and plenty of laughs while the chips are cooking and the sossages are being prepared. The prices of the food here is amazing too. £2 for a large portion of chips. 1 sossage costs £1 but they taste of the real stuff and not the ready mix rubbish you'd find in other chippies. The food itself is incredibly filling and I always look forward to every visit there. Food preparation times can go from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. However, the latter is based on when there's a large crowd of customers. Please, if you can, give whittle le woods and visit and drop by the Sun Hing for a wide range of traditional and none traditional Chinese and chip shop foods.
