Good solid village pub, not the prettiest of pubs or village but you won't be disappointed with the Sunday roast (£14.95). Dog friendly and a good half way stop off whilst on a 7 mile walk. Price per person: £10–20

Visited Hauser & Wirth and fancied a pint afterwards, so we wandered into The Sun Inn on a Sunday—and what a great find! The pub has that warm, traditional feel, with genuinely lovely staff, a spacious beer garden, show all the sports and even had a pool table. Pints were £4.70, which felt very reasonably priced. They run their full menu on Sundays. The roast looked sensational, but we already had one booked elsewhere, so we went for the Christmas panini instead - and wow, it was delicious. Served with proper gravy and priced at £12.95, it came as a generous, tasty portion that really hit the spot. All in all: great atmosphere, great food, good prices. We’ll definitely be back.
