Nestled in the heart of Champaign, Sun Singer Restaurant, Wine & Spirits is a fine dining spot that offers an eclectic mix of American and European cuisine. With its warm and inviting ambiance, it's the perfect place to enjoy a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The interior design is elegant and sophisticated, with dark wood accents and soft lighting creating a cozy atmosphere.
The establishment offers a wide range of dishes, from classic American fare like burgers and sandwiches to more complex European dishes like schnitzel and filet mignon. Some of the standout dishes include the crab cake Benedict, cheese fondue, and pot roast nachos. For those looking for something lighter, the salads are fresh and flavorful.
In addition to the food, Sun Singer also boasts an impressive selection of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines. The Tiramisu Martini is a must-try, as is the Bordeaux wine. The establishment also has a great retail store where patrons can purchase wine and spirits to take home.
Prices at Sun Singer are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service more than justifies the cost. The establishment is located in a strip mall, so it can be easy to miss, but once inside, patrons will be transported to a cozy and intimate dining experience.
One of the special features of Sun Singer is its outdoor seating area, which is perfect for enjoying a meal on a warm summer evening. The establishment also has a knowledgeable and friendly staff who are happy to make recommendations and answer any questions about the menu.
Overall, Sun Singer Restaurant, Wine & Spirits is a must-visit establishment for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience in Champaign.

I went with my partner and his mother because it’s been one of his long time favorite restaurants. I went with my family a bunch as a child. My sister also regularly goes with her family and raves about how good everything is. I had very high hopes and was unfortunately left incredibly disappointed. I am gluten free and ordered a Rueben on gluten free bread. It was in fact gluten free and I did not react to anything. However when my sandwich came it was soggy and had just as much sauerkraut as meat. And I DO love sauerkraut but it was a tad much. None of us particularly loved our food. We each got cocktails and were not able to take more than a few sips of any of them. They were some of the worst drinks we had ever had. We intended on ordering other drinks but our waiter took a very long time to attend to us. It was during a game day but not super busy, mostly empty tables. We still had incredibly slow service. Noticeably slower than any patrons around us. We were also the only visibly queer and alternative people in the establishment and it is hard to not feel like that was a factor. It took so long to bring the check that we considered leaving to go to the ATM to get cash and come back to just leave it on the table. I also became very ill with food poisoning the days following and had to be admitted in the ER to be able to get my stomach to calm down. I will say that when we went into the store, the wine Sommilier was absolutely wonderful to deal with. He had extensive knowledge of all of the spirits and was very kind to talk to. He was excited to explain the difference between each wine to us and is the main reason that I am not giving only a one star. He was an older, shorter gentleman with an accent.
