While I understand to keep buffet costs down, they sometimes don't turn food over quickly .. Food can dry out etc. The ratio of patrons, is what typically causes replenishment We arrived at six pm. There was one person eating We both tried fried rice, and various other items. Crab Rangoon, chicken Nothing was edible ...tough, not warm to cold, and the majority of things very dried out and flavourless I motioned for waitress...I expressed that the items were not appetizing, some not edible. I thought they would bring something fresh I said I could order to go, if they would make it fresh. I was met with frustration bordering on anger as she demanded I pay for the drinks (not drank) and get out/go. I paid 5$ for the two drinks and we left. I can't imagine the difficulty of running a restaurant Let alone a buffet trying to keep it all fresh, warm, available But it certainly wasn't our fault for being disappointed. We made our complaint quietly and with respect. The fact we were willing to order fresh food, and instead were met with rudeness, abruptness and told to pay for our drinks and go, is why we won't be back While they might have been having a bad day with their presentation/options/ freshness How we were treated isn't unacceptable. Probably will not visit this establishment again. Came here from previous reviews but I'm pretty sure that they were bought or faked. The decor is thread are with the carpet showing patches in some areas. No music was playing during our visit so we had the pleasure of listening to everyone else eat. The buffet selection was disappointing and the freshness of food for a dinner time visit was awful. The egg drop soup had a literal crust I had to break through because it had not been stirred/replaced in so long. A lot of the options were dry from sitting out so long and the tight quarters made it hard to navigate between other customers. The service was completely lacking with the only words spoken to my partner and I being "Table for 2?", "what would you like to eat?" and "refill?" until the bill came. The two servers stood in one place next to the drink station talking for the most part. On one of my drink orders, the server didn't listen and gave me Coke instead of Diet Coke. She got a little bit of a attitude when I corrected her when I refilled again. Nothing to write home here about. I wish I could have seen the restaurant that earned those previous reviews because the place I visited has obviously gone downhill since then. Family and I ate at the Sunny China Buffet tonight for a Birthday. My husband, kids and I have gone several times beforehand and always enjoyed each visit. Tonight, was the first time visit for most of our extended family, and they couldn't get over how great the food was. The food was flavorful, hot, and a nice quality for the price. The restaurant itself may need some work, but the food definitely makes up for it. As mentioned before, we had come several times in the past. We have never felt ill afterwards, which should tell you something. This will have to be our new meeting place.**The only reason why you may not feel well after your meal is because you might get belly ache from eating too much food. **
