I visited this place based on a local recommendation and arrived for lunch and ordered and paid for a burger and fries at 1245. At 1:25 I asked the counter about my order and was told it would be right out. 10 minutes later the staff tried to deliver fish and chips to me that belonged to another table. I explained that I was waiting on a burger and she said it would be right out. Another 20 minutes passes an no burger. At this point I waited over an hour and go to the counter and was told it’s coming right up. I should also note that there were only four other tables with customers and no one came to check my table to see how things were going. At the 1 1/4 hour mark I told them I had to leave for a meeting and to trash the burger. I didn’t ask for or receive a refund nor do I want one. To say I’m disappointed with a local business is an understatement. A little communication and courtesy would have gone a long way but that was missing just like my food. I won’t be back. As far as I know, this is the only soft-serve ice cream in Wheeler County. We were initially only going to get soft-serve, but decided that if we didn't eat, we'd end up eating supper really late. I'm glad we decided to eat at the Sunset Diner! My husband had the combo burrito and really enjoyed it. I had a taco salad. We definitely will be back!
