I’m giving two stars only because the burgers were good and the view was nice. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. Both the chairs and some of the tables were noticeably dirty, and several tables were also affected by rust and poor maintenance. After finishing our burgers, my friend and I ordered two single-shot coffees. The service time was reasonable, and the coffees arrived without any issue. However, the waiter also brought us two bottles of water that we never ordered. What made the situation even more confusing is that, unlike with the burgers, no receipt was provided when the coffees and water were brought to our table. Since we had never asked for the water and no one informed us that it would be charged, we naturally assumed it was a complimentary gesture from the restaurant. When it was time to pay, I told the cashier that we had only ordered two coffees. He then asked, “And the two bottles of water?” I explained that we had never ordered them. He asked whether we had drunk them, and of course we had, because we genuinely believed they were complimentary. He then replied, “It’s okay, just pay for the coffees this time, but be careful next time.” Honestly, that response felt disrespectful and inappropriate. What exactly am I supposed to “be careful” about next time? It almost sounded like a warning, even though I was not the one who made the mistake. How can a customer be expected to watch out for items that were never ordered, never offered as an extra, and never mentioned as chargeable? My issue is not the cost of the water. I would have gladly paid for it if I had been informed beforehand. The amount itself is insignificant compared to what I had already spent. The real problem is being expected to pay for something I never requested and was never told would be added to the bill. A simple “Would you like bottled water?” or “These bottles are not complimentary” would have avoided the entire situation. Customers should never be put in a position where they are charged for items they did not order, then made to feel responsible for a misunderstanding that was caused by poor communication from the staff. Very satisfied with the Sunstar Coffee service. A very nice, clean place. The staff is very welcoming . even my little daughter loved them. She says thank you for the cake and thank you for the ball. This is my first visit to Annaba. I will come to your place on my next visit inchallah.
