Surugaya is a dessert spot located on Atago in Ageo, where you can explore a variety of traditional Japanese sweets. While specific pricing details aren't available, the offerings are described as reasonably priced by patrons. You can drop by for a quick visit to pick up some delicacies, as many find the shop convenient for purchasing same-day souvenirs. Surugaya opens early in the morning and closes by 5 PM from Tuesday through Sunday, which might suit those looking to grab something sweet at the start of their day.
The establishment has received mixed reviews over time. Highlights seem to include items like dorayaki and popular choices like dango and kuri no sato, although the selection might vary. Some customers indicate limitations with accessibility, noting the lack of facilities such as a wheelchair-accessible entrance or parking. Payment can be made via Rakuten Pay, adding a level of convenience for tech-savvy customers. It's worth noting that there seems to be a lack of recent updates from the owner, so more recent experiences might differ from past reviews.

Each dumpling starts at 60 yen, and the overall price is very reasonable. The taste is of course delicious. It's open from early morning, so it's convenient for purchasing souvenirs for the day. I think the dango selection is a little inconsistent, but overall this is a Japanese sweets shop that I can recommend.
