Tiny little concrete shack in the median between two sides of the road, with a few outdoor tables. Nominally opens as 6pm, but the cook didn't show up until 6:30 the day I came. I reluctantly waited 20 minutes, but in the end it paid off. I'm a Canadian vegetarian and frequent traveler, and I like my veggie burgers, so I've had quite a few of them in a lot of different places. This was one of the best I've ever had, which is all the more surprising for having found it in a muddy thoroughfare median in a semi-random city in Northern Brazil. Crispy, flavorful soya patty, neither mushy nor dry. Nice fresh lettuce and tomato, decent if unexceptional bun. But again I reiterate: the patty was outstanding, crispy and full of taste.
