Came in around 2:10 PM and ordered food. No one informed me that I would need to leave by 3 PM or that the kitchen closed at 2:30 PM until after my miso soup had already arrived. Most of my food wasn’t served until around 2:35 PM, which gave me less than 25 minutes to finish everything. Staff came by every 5–10 minutes reminding me that they closed at 3 PM, which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable while eating. I was the only customer in the restaurant from 2:10 PM to 3:00 PM, so it wasn’t busy. Despite multiple check-ins, no one removed any empty plates from my table. I was eventually charged a $4 leftover fee. By the time I left, I had already finished the short ribs, cucumber, and most of the sushi roll (including the fish and avocado inside). The fee was charged mainly for the noodles and the remaining rice from the roll, which felt unfair given how rushed the dining experience was. If customers are expected to leave by 3 PM, please let them know before they place their order, or at least before the food is brought to the table. I would have appreciated clear communication upfront. Instead, the experience made me feel as though the restaurant did not really want customers dining close to closing time. Unfortunately, I received almost no service besides being reminded to hurry up eating, yet was still expected to leave a tip. Lovely experience, thanks. My belly is so full of delicious sushi! $23 lunch AYCE special is where it's at. Crisp, fresh cuts and great service! The sake is hot and tasty and the cherry blossom ambiance is very relaxing. I can’t overstate how much I love this place! It quickly became our date spot after we tried it for the first time, and now we’ve been here idk how many times! The food is always hot, fresh, and plentiful; the portions are not skimpy at all. Everything is absolutely delicious! I’ve been here once this week already lol and I’m going again today.
