Amazingly fresh and relatively high-end sushi, offering both omakase and a la carte options. Seems like primarily a local’s spot, but the hostess was very welcoming to us and spoke excellent English. Absolutely incredible experience at Sushi Yukimura. Let's be real, the food is the first thing people want to know about. The fish is some of the freshest I've experienced and speaks volumes to the care the master chef takes in ensuring only the highest quality product is made available to their customers. The egg in the sukiyaki is also the most brilliant natural shade of orange I've ever seen. As someone who frequents top restaurants, I've never seen an egg this fresh. Absolutely delicious. The service? Top notch! This is a family run establishment that takes immense care in the experience of its diners. The counter can seat 9, and it was a lovely, lively scene where the master chef, his son, and his wife created an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie. As someone whose Japanese is lacking to nonexistent, their ability to communicate key elements of the menu in English just added an additional element of enjoyment to the meal ( which was already amazing). All in all, I can't wait to come back again next time my travels bring me through Sendai. I will absolutely be recommending this to all my friends and colleagues.
