Sensational. Lovely thoughtful staff, very generous portions and tasty food. One of the best value for money restaurants in Sydney. Cannot recommend more. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. Parking: Very hard to find. Best of catching public transport. Kid-friendliness: Yes very. Lots of sushi. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. March 2024: This is the place you come for a good feed. Good portions for the price and this place is operated by Japanese chefs. I’ve been coming here for years and I can tell inflation has impacted the portions compared to years past but for what you get elsewhere, excellent value for what you pay. Great quality sushi and amongst the best tempura in Sydney. Sushi Suma seems to be a popular place for lunch with its set menus. The photos of the old menu is confusing because indeed the place has no more sushi "train". For the dinner option the sushi set seemed like a good choice. However the prawn roll was not that tasty in comparison to some other sushi we've had in Surry Hills. The price is also medium to high for a place like this. Overall good quality but better sushi to be had around this area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–40
