The Suya Spot's recent changes have left me thoroughly disappointed. While the ambiance and decor are impressive, it seems their focus shifted from quality cuisine to aesthetics. The food, unfortunately, doesn't live up to its price tag, feeling overpriced and subpar. My experience included receiving a shockingly cold, seemingly frozen meat pie, which was an unwelcome surprise. It's disheartening to think that such shortcuts might be taken in the kitchen. The exorbitant $40 price tag for just three snails felt unjustifiable and only added to the disappointment. Moreover, the expansion to the Towson branch didn't improve matters; if anything, it intensified the issues. This expansion should have addressed the food quality and service concerns, but it fell far short of expectations. The decline in standards across both locations emphasizes the pressing need for substantial improvements, particularly in the food preparation and pricing. As a former regular customer who once enjoyed their offerings, it's disheartening to witness such a decline in what used to be a promising establishment. Lastly, didn’t get to take a picture because I was just disappointed. Parking: There’s parking behind the building but in front is such a hassle especially when you’re just going in for a take out. Kid-friendliness: In my opinion I don’t think this is a child friendly restaurant. They don’t even have a children’s menu. Service: Take out Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fried Plantains, Meat Pie, Gizdodo, Fried Fish Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot
