First of all, the last thing we expected as a group of friends was to go to an Indian restaurant here at the portoguese coast but after reading one amazing review after another, even from people that live in London and claim that this Indian restaurant apparently has no equal, we all conclusively decided, that we must go there. They only negative feedback I have to make is that we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, even though the restaurant was basically empty. Once the food made it to our table and we took our first bite, we knew that we made the right choice. The flavours were incredible in every single dish but the star of the night was the garlic naan bread. Our waiter, unfortunately I forgot his name, was a bit shy in the beginning but he grew on us and we had a nice conversation right before we left. He gave us three indian rum on the house and we walked away full, happy and thankful. If you love indian food, you have to come here. The butter chicken in combination with the garlic naan was a poem. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30

I understand you want grilled fish or shellfish but waiting in line and the overall noise is sometimes too much. As an alternative let me suggest you this Indian restaurant for a calm relaxed dinner with a great atmosphere. My wife is picky with cleanliness and the restaurant is spotless. The food is some of the best you could try and in a place like Nazaré this is a gem find. If you are tired of the same (and possibly paying a premium for an average meal) give this place a try. 10 stars if possible! The food and service was so good we visited twice as a family when staying in Nazaré. This is the best Indian food you will find. There is no point going to another indian restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and humble. They treat you like kings. The word Swagat i learnt means welcome. They definitely make live up to this name and make you feel very welcome! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
