This spot gives extraordinary service and yummy meals. It is one of my favourite restaurants around town. The meals served rapidly, and the rates were reasonable. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAD ENCOUNTERED. This was our second visit to Swagat Restaurant but would also be the LAST due to one of THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAD ENCOUNTERED. We were there for the buffet (dinner) having a birthday celebration with our families. We were 14 adults and 2 kids (total - 16 ppl.). Towards the end, we received a bill for 15 adults and 2 kids (total - 17 ppl.) for which we paid however within a few minutes realised there was a mistake in the count and approached the staff in the billing area asking for assitance by explaining the issue. This is where things go down hill, the staff we approched went to another staff/ bartender (also the one who made the bill) that was at the bar corner. He then says there was a mistake from his side and hands us cash for the 1-KIDS BUFFET PRICE. We were being very patient and polite and explained the issue over 20 times saying WE WERE 15 ADULTS but the bill was for 16 ADULTS which technically means he has to refund the price for 1 standard buffet (which was about 65-70) instead of the kids that was half-price. After a conversation of solid 10 minutes, the bartender/ the staff that made our receipt points at one of the kids and asks the age, we say he is 11 yrs old. The staff then goes "oh okay then, since he is 11 i will return the kids price and charge him as an adult". The apathetic and unprofessional behavior of the staff left me feeling undervalued and frustrated. (Note: The staff never asked or confirmed with any of us the age of the kids or how many members we were in total before placing the bill, which is a basic etiquette at any restaurants that provide buffet.) It does stop here, after confronting the staff on his mistake, he starts LYING! LITERALLY TWISTING HIS WORDS AND ALMOST MANUPILATING WHICH LEFT US SO DUMBFOUNDED AS THIS WAS EQUIVALENT TO CHEATING!! We customers have been to multiple restaurants and are very aware that mistakes happen and that was exactly why we were chill and polite about the situtation initially but this??? This is so much more than a mistake! It was very obvious how the staff knew what he did was wrong and clearly didn't want to refund the money and so he kept changing his words and lying to try and provide a refund of half-price. WE ENDED UP NOT TAKING THE REFUND SINCE IT WASN'T THE RIGHT AMOUNT AND THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY SHAMLESS AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO SIMPLY KEEP THE CASH WITH THEM! The staff's lack of professionalism and complete disregard for their patrons left me feeling frustrated and utterly disappointed. Not to mention, the attitude of the bartender was terrible! I cannot stress enough how strongly I recommend avoiding this restaurant if you value good service and a pleasant dining atmosphere else you might get scammed by the bartender there and you will be unwelcomed to address any issues or concerns. Hoping the management of Swagat Restaurant takes immediate steps to address the glaring issues with their customer service. Until then, I will not be returning, and I advise others to seek out alternative dining options that prioritize their patrons' satisfaction.
