I need of an update and modernization. The salad was not fresh. While the decor had it charm it was quite dated. The cheese fondue was mediocre at best, and the bread was not fresh. A far cry from the real deal. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We lived in Switzerland. Very familiar with fondues. The place was nice, pots authentic but the cheese fondue was horrible. We asked if there was truly vacherin cheese( surprised because it’s hard to find). There were no Swiss cheeses in the fondue. Tasted packaged and microwaved. We were the only customers. Plus VERY expensive. Really bad, false advertising. The worst good we’ve ever had in Stowe. Save your money. Disappointed Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I want to assure you that we use only authentic ingredients, premium imported cheese (including vacherin) and our fondue is prepared FRESH to order. Even if you said our cheese fondue was horrible. But you ate it all and nothing left over. So I'm grateful you enjoyed it enough to complete the fondue. We understand the concern about pricing. Our commitment to using exclusively imported ingredients, including high-quality cheeses, contributes to the cost. And we make the value very clear on our website and the menu We made a special effort to open on a Monday for you, despite our regular closure, exclusively for your dining experience. We’ve been to Swiss Fondue by Heinz at least 5 times, and it’s always wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, the food is consistently delicious, and the staff is lovely. The beef is especially tasty and tender - don’t miss it. Our usual order is the traditional cheese fondue with delicious bread, a tasty salad, beef and potatoes with several dipping sauces, and of course the chocolate fondue for dessert. They have a nice wine list (the Rhône was especially good tonight), and sometimes there are special homemade desserts - always worth it. The menu is small because they’ve really perfected it. Such a nice spot for special occasions or just a yummy night out with friends. We’ll be back soon!
