Sharing roast for 4 is overall excellent and generous, but mostly chicken and veg. Stingy amount of beef - two thin overcooked slices between 4, cut in half, so half a slice each. Beer selection is terrible (I enjoyed the flowery yet laughable descriptions on the menu of basic, rubbish beers) and the only beer they have on tap, Estrella Galicia, is served in schooner, not pint. The upstairs "dining room" is actually a small, cold and loud anteroom, as well the tightly-packed landing. Lovely place downstairs, which was empty when we both arrived and left, but they stick dining bookings upstairs. Shame. Despite the negatives, service is friendly, food tasty and bill was pocket-friendly. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We are in Bath for our anniversary for the weekend and we were told about Sydney's by the Malborough pub to try this place as they were full and this place is a must beautiful place wonderful friendly staff members who gave you good time and the roast was epic 10/10 and great vino and massive portions and everyone was talking to each other to see if they could finish and i did we had amazing starters black croquettes and ham hock terrine and we had beef and pork belly roasts which really were epic I wanted pudding but did not think I could finish and this lovely lady from San Diego was sitting next to us asked if we could share a sticky toffee pudding which obviously we said yes so new memories new friends epic please go and support Sydney's.
