After a long walk around Fire Museum of Maryland, visit this restaurant and have a rest here. Discover new tastes of the menu with Chinese cuisine in the comfort of Szechuan House. Taste nicely cooked sweet & sour pork, sushi and crab meat at this place. Many guests say that waiters offer tasty ice cream, green pancakes and dessert cookies here. Check out delicious americano or good tea.
This spot is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices here are reported to be reasonable. There is a cool atmosphere and spectacular decor at this restaurant. But google users haven't given Szechuan House a high rating.

so glad to know that this wonderful family-friendly, community-focused restaurant is planning a return, this time, at a NEW location, across the Maryland State Fairgrounds and within walking distance of the Super Giant. cannot wait for them to re-open and so happy for Robert and his staff.

Thank you, Bob Wang, Jean Der and team for a great run. My wife and I started visiting you when you opened. We were Newlyweds, lived in Essex and were dreaming big. We loved Szechuan House from the very start 28 years ago. We loved the hands on involvement of Bob and Jean, not to mention the entire team. We loved the menu; my wife, whose usual choice is MooShu Chicken, is the adventurous one ordering from "Country Side Taste" while I stuck with favorites like chicken and string beans and egg roll. I did go on excursions and tried LoMein, Orange Yuba, Chow Fen and cashew chicken. We would start with egg rolls, crab meat wonton or soup. Always good and fresh. So fresh, I would see Bob at Sams Club buying loads of fresh produce. I'd see team members shucking string beans. I've seen team retention you don't see in businesses today. Always smiling, always friendly and always at the top of their game. And, the menu evolved into SUSHI and very good sushi at that. And, Szechuan House represented the best bang for the buck of almost any foodie destination in Baltimore County! We were amazed at the number of Asian and Jewish customers, some traveling far to enjoy great food. Over the years, we moved to Lutherville in 1996, our two kids have been customers since birth: they're 25 and 22 now. My bride and I are going through some health matters we pray we'll overcome. COVID has wreaked havoc on food service institutions in the metro area; many will shutter for good thanks to government overreach and control. Through all, Szechuan House survived and thrived. Now gone, we grieve at the empty, sign less storefront that brought us joy and great food for over a generation. We feel like we've lost family or a beloved neighbor that has moved away to destinations unknown. I think age and the landlord dispute played huge roles. I also believe the landlord has already signed a new tenant at a rate closer to current market. I'm also speculating SH will be replaced by either an operator relocating from the city, or the store will be divided for two or three tenants. I'd hate to think the life of Szechuan House ceased because of money. Fare thee well, Bob and Jean. And, again,thank you.
