Regi the owner and chef is the most accommodating and makes the best food ever. With such beautiful views of the Maungakiekie Golf Club. Affordable delicious dining for families. Very quiet in the morning since everyone’s out golfing. They offer the entire menu the whole day. Toilets are clean. Lots of space Meal type: Brunch Price per person: NZ$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time we went to Tambo after a google search "restaurants near me" revealed that Tambo was close by and we hadn't heard of it. It's at Maungakiekie Golf Course, no signage when we went but you just walk into the building upper level and head for the kitchen on the left. Friendly owner and the best view! Golf Course, sunset, trees - love it. The menu has starters, pizza, burgers and mains - pork belly is good, Chicken salad with lots of ingredients and flavour. Kumara chips were crispy and tasty (could do with more aioli, if I'm being specific.). We really enjoyed it. We went back 3 nights later with our daughter. Wide range of drinks from the Golf Club bar, a friendly, neighborhood feel - even if you don't like watching people play golf outside :). TV on sports channel also. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Most mains are $18, such good value for a place that has free parking too. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy flat entrance with no steps, accessible bathroom.
