Very disappointing experience – serious hygiene concerns My husband and I visited The Rock Cafe and ordered seafood linguine and truffle fries. More concerningly, we had serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety standards inside the restaurant. After the meal, we did not eat anything else that day. At around 1:00 a.m., my husband became seriously unwell and had to go to hospital the following day. Unfortunately, the management did not provide a responsible response to our concerns regarding the restaurant’s hygiene and food safety. This was an extremely concerning and disappointing experience. We hope management takes this matter seriously and reviews its hygiene and food safety practices. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner

A great restaurant in The Rocks A great restaurant in the heart of The Rocks, perfect for dinner while exploring Sydney. The place is welcoming and beautifully maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, and above all, the value for money is excellent. A special mention definitely goes to the kangaroo fillet, the best I had during my trip to Australia: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The lemon meringue cake is also a must-try—simple, but absolutely delicious. A place I would definitely recommend if you’re visiting The Rocks. I can’t wait to come back! We stumbled into The Rocks Cafe and what a delightful experience - food was extraordinary and the service headed by the maitre d' David was exceptional! Dining here was one of the highlights of our trip to Sydney. So good, we went back for breakfast the next day. You won't find a better dining establishment in Sydney. Can't wait to go back!
