Toppu Ramen is little Ramen place next to the popular Jakubske Namesti (Square). Interior is very well done, staff was attentive and quick. Seating wise not the best for a long stay. Menu offers a small range of Ramen with either beef, chicken, pork or full vegan and a few starters to choose from like Gyoza and fried shrimp rings. They also have a small 'salad' selection (Kimchi, wakame/seaweed) for which extra toppings can be added. Drink wise they have some typical Japanese beer (Kirin 500ml tapped or Asahi 330ml bottle) or you can decide to go for some Sake (rice wine) with your Ramen. Non alcohol softdrinks/lemonades avaible as well. Food was great, but not extraordinary. The broth/soup for both the meat option, and the vegan option was tasteful. The vegan broth was rather sweet without any distinctive taste. Starter dishes were served out at the same time as the main meal. As they do combine well, not a huge issue, but just something to be aware about. Would definitely recommend trying out this place, but as I'm writing this, there are better Ramen places in town. Best ramen in Brno. Very yummy food and nice atmosphere. I had both the Tonkotsu ramen and the Coconut milk ramen (with udon noodles instead of the usual ones). Both dishes were excellent, the tonkotsu broth was very rich, pairing well against the lightness of the coconut udon. Both had a great variety of toppings while the noodles had the right thickness and texture. The coconut was a little spicy, but most of that flavour gathers atop the soup, rather than throughout.
