Passing by Library @ Orchard, visit this restaurant. Yakitori TOYA is a great choice if you are in the mood for the Japanese cuisine. If hungry, come here for perfectly cooked grilled chicken, yakitori chicken and chicken heart. You can try good ice cream.
The terrific staff welcomes visitors all year round. Nice service is something clients like here. The atmosphere is cool, as people see it. Google gives it 4.3 so you can choose this place to have a good time here.

Booked for 8.30pm via chope Arrived by 8.40pm was told there was a mix up in the booking Subsequently waited for half hour for staff to tell us that first seating was still having their courses despite booking platform clearly saying first seating to leave by 8.30pm. Staff at 9.10pm offered for us to wait for earlier seating to clear and serve us but: 1) could not guarantee what time seats would be freed up 2) could not guarantee that restaurant would stay open past closing time (10.30pm) to ensure we weren’t short changed on the dining experience (albeit did say everything will be served) 10/10 would not recommend a place that do not honour their bookings or reservations and especially when they put your card on hold. 2 stars for the food, -5 stars for the service. We booked the second seating at 8:30pm and arrived about 20mins early. The door was closed, so we assumed the previous seating was still in progress and waited outside. At exactly 8:30pm, another diner opened the door, and we realized we could have gone in earlier. During our wait, we saw 4 people leave, and only 4 remained inside — meaning at least 8 seats had been vacant for around 15mins before 8:30pm. Despite this, the only waitress on duty didn’t bother to open the door or acknowledge us, even though we were clearly waiting right outside (she came out once during our wait, so there’s no way she didn’t notice there’s people waiting outside). Service was terrible: - We were surprised to see 4 ladies from the earlier seating still inside, eating very slowly as they were busy chitchatting. Not sure why the waitress didn’t ask them to leave, especially since the booking page clearly states that tables are needed by 8:30pm. - Saw at least 3 groups with reservations being turned away because the place was apparently overbooked? Very confused why they allowed the 4 ladies to continue hogging the seats that should have been returned by 8:30pm? - The waitress placed her serving tray directly on our table while scrambling to manage the overbooking situation. - The chef took his own sweet time preparing the food, when all of us were already seated late for our 8:30pm slot. - What’s even worse is, by close to 9pm, nothing had been served to all of us in the 8:30pm seating. The chef was still preparing somen for the 4 ladies, while our yakitori remained raw and untouched at the side. I had to ask the waitress “what are we waiting for?” before she finally served my drink, which is something that should have been done within minutes of taking the order. Affordable price but taste-wise, nothing spectacular. And with service like this, definitely not retuning. Spend your money and time elsewhere.
