I stayed here with my husband a couple of weeks ago, and we had a wonderful time! We explored most of the area on foot—though it was a bit tiring in the cold and rain, we were always rewarded with warm hospitality and a cozy shower at Trip Base. Meeting Hiro (the host), his family, and one of his good friends was such a delight. We highly recommend staying here 100%! Next time, we plan to bring our friends and our international driver’s license so we can ride those beautiful yellow bikes in the summer. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable! Service: 5

I stayed at TRIP BASE COCONEEL for a week and really enjoyed my experience there. When I arrived by bus, the busdriver was coincidentally the father of the hotels owner and he was kind enough to actually drive me to the entrance, on the night I arrived. The hotel in itself is small but very cozy and personalized with the decorations. There are two rooms to sleep in, that can fit about 4 people in each. You sleep on japanese futons - I slept really well every night. In the women’s dorm (at least), there are remotes for controlling the air conditioner and the lighting. The food prepared in the restaurant area (by the owner) was really tasty! I tried the tacos with meat and shrimp and the taco rice with extra serving of meat. The hotel was always nice and clean. There’s also a fridge, microwave, water boiler and coffee available at all times. There’s a toilet in the back, a powder-room and a shower cabine. The owner was always helpful and invested in providing a great service and experience for his guests. Be prepared though for the location of the hotel! There’s not a washing machine/coin laundry anywhere close. The nearest konbini is 1-3 km away and you’ll have to take busses and trains (if you don’t have a car/bike with you). Overall I really enjoyed staying at TRIP BASE COCONEEL and would definitely recommend this place!
