Absolutely amazing! We tried a little of everything — the patacones, chicken arepas, pork belly cachapas, pork empanadas, even the Venezuelan hotdogs — and not a single thing disappointed! The highlight for me was definitely the patacones — pictured on the right. It was a perfect combination of fresh veggies and avocado, a blend of tender well-seasoned meats, and the slightly sweet crunch of the fried plantains. Truly delicious! The staff was extremely attentive and kind as well. They made sure we had everything we needed and didn’t mind that I don’t speak Spanish very well. (And for anyone who may be nervous about that — there’s also a kiosk where you can order if you want, so the potential language barrier becomes even less of a challenge). We felt very welcomed and accommodated, plus street parking was easy to find in the area even around dinnertime on a Saturday. I highly recommend Tu Arepa and am so glad we found this spot! I ate the best *pabellón* empanadas in all of New England. The food at this place—as well as the service—are spectacular. I recommend them 100%! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
