Twins Garden is a truly unique establishment located in Moscow, Russia, and is one of only two Michelin-starred restaurants in the country. Boasting two stars in the Michelin Guide, this restaurant is one of the most celebrated in Russia and has earned numerous awards and accolades.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests are immediately struck by the minimalistic and sterile atmosphere. The limited seating is often filled to capacity and reservations are highly recommended. Guests can expect to find a menu of predominately set meals, which can be slightly customized, but are best enjoyed in their entirety. The 11-course "Tour of Russia" set meal costs 19,000 rubles and features dishes such as snow crab, white mushrooms with black caviar, Astrakhan-style trout, grilled crayfish, duck with spicy pumpkin and lingonberry, saddle of lamb with eggplant, mandarin with pine, and a hazelnut and sorbet tart. The set meals are expertly prepared by the head chef and his team, and the quality of each dish is impressive. The portions are quite small, however, and guests may find themselves feeling a bit peckish once the meal is finished.
The restaurant also offers a selection of wines and cocktails, with six cocktail options on the menu. The drinks are unique and the flavor combinations are quite interesting. Prices are reasonable, with the set meals costing 8,500 rubles and cocktails 850 rubles. The service at Twins Garden is friendly and efficient and the waitstaff are knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The view of Moscow at night is particularly stunning and makes for a truly memorable experience. However, the restaurant can be quite loud and cramped, making it a less than ideal spot for intimate meals.
I’ve never had such a terrible meal at a Michelin restaurant. The service was mediocre and the food was just average. I really don’t understand how this place earned its Michelin star—there’s nothing special about it at all. The waitstaff were quite rude to foreigners; do they only serve Russian guests? I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any international visitors. It completely ruined my day.
I was disappointed by the poor quality and taste of the food. They didn't even bring the food I ordered properly, and they didn't explain the food or the wine to me. The fact that there were no English-speaking staff, even though I was a foreigner, makes me question whether this restaurant deserves to be a two-star restaurant. I was very disappointed that it seems to have been turned into a local restaurant for only Russians.
Thank you, Twins Garden, for redefining nature on a plate. From soil to stars, every flavor feels alive. Moscow’s modern heart beats here — creative, organic, and beautifully fearless. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
