What’s ring with the owner?! They ask you to order more in order to get what you want. They don’t even care of you but hey? Why don’t you leave a tip!!! Food portion is small, I left the place hungry, that’s definitely not what you want as a restaurant owner to hear from a customer. I’m not planning to spend $90 just to have a normal size plate of food for 2 people. The place is empty close to the weekend in the afternoon. I kept seeing people walk in look at the menu and then just walk out. I used to come here often, but now it’s a let down. Not worth coming anymore. Tâ Bom is a modern Korean cuisine that serves a variety of Korean plates in a casual venue. They are known for a sizzling iron plate with corn and cheese as well as their signature hot pot. The circular iron hot plate cost from $14+. Each order requires a minimum of 2 portions of the same meat, and they place two orders of meat on the same plate. It serves with egg and corn on the side, but you can order additional side dishes like cheese, rice cake, noodles, fried rice and so forth. We order a Jukkumi-Jeyuk-Bokkeum (stir-fried spicy baby octopus and pork belly hot plate ) with additional cheese and volcano fried rice. The server helped us to cut the octopus and pork belly. The service was impeccable! The food was very flavourful. Apparently, the cheese appeared to the most popular side dish as almost every table ordered that. It went perfectly well with the main dish. The server brought out the rice after we finished the main dish. They added rice to make fried rice in the leftovers with the remaining sauce. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Tâ Bom Korean Cuisine is located at C-1046 Austin Avenue in Coquitlam, BC. It is just next doors to Jimoco Pasta on Austin. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! (Most kids love cheese and fried rice) Price: $50-$100 for two (Dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 1/5 limited free parking spots in the front but plenty of street parking around. Tips: *can ask for a dish to be made non-spicy. *do not accept reservation. *serves in huge portions. It is nice to share with friends. Would I Return: Yes
