My son and I went here tonight to grab a quick bite to go as they were playing at a store nearby. We saw it and wanted to try something new, we walked in and told them we were ordering to go so they lead us back to the bar area. Most of the staff were pleasantly nice? I thought the bar area being back down a tiny dark hallway literally a foot from the restroom was weird but whatever. Everything was going great, the bartender was nice helping us pick new foods we ordered, paid and waited. 5 min later our food came, the bartender asked if it was ours, the guy said yes, she asked if he included the second order I placed right after this one and he said it didn’t so he went back to get it. My son wanted to eat his fries and queso so I took it out of the bag and gave it to him while we waited. We were supposed to have a quesadilla in the bag so I took it out, opened it (physically touched the food) and noticed it was a chicken burrito. I told the bartender we were supposed to have a quesadilla and this was a chicken burrito. She seemed to get really irritated with me, called some people over told me that wasn’t my order it was someone else’s. I told my son to stop eating the fries, I apologized saying I thought it was mine.. since she handed it to me and told me he had to get the rest of my order. She got offensive and said she didn’t hand it to me, she handed the chicken burrito off to another worker saying “this goes with the other order” I told them I touched it but they seemed to ignore me. When we finally did get our right order, it didn’t have the fries or queso in it, I guess since my son ate some fries out of the other order they took it off even though we left those there, which could have been avoided with communication but they were so irritated they didn’t speak to us at all. Long story short, I thought the food was great, I wish the mishap was handled better, and if you ordered chicken burritos, fries with queso and rice tonight there’s a good chance I touched your food. First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you and your son had during your visit with us. My name is Tyger Barros, and I am the General Manager here at Ta Co. After reading your review, I completely understand your frustration and embarrassment regarding the mix-up with the food order and, more importantly, how the situation was handled afterward. Quite frankly, this is unacceptable, and it is not the standard of hospitality or communication we strive to provide to our guests. While mistakes can happen during busy shift changes, especially with multiple to-go orders being handled at once, the way this interaction was handled should have been met with patience, professionalism, and clear communication from our team. I am especially disappointed to hear that you felt ignored and uncomfortable after trying to do the right thing and immediately alert our staff to the issue. Please know that I will absolutely be speaking directly with both the bartender and food runner involved so we can address what happened and ensure situations like this are handled properly moving forward. I truly appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback because it gives us the opportunity to improve. I’m very glad to hear you enjoyed the food itself, but more importantly, I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to personally invite you back so we can show you the level of service and hospitality Ta Co is actually about. If you are willing, please feel free to reach out to me directly at the restaurant and ask for Tyger Barros. I would love the opportunity to make this right for you and your son. Thank you again for your honesty, and again, I am truly sorry for your experience. Tyger Barros General Manager Ta.Co 785.329.5834

The food tasted amazing. The only complaint I have is that I ordered The Beast as a burrito instead of a bowl. For $16 I got a rice filled burrito with maybe 3TBSP of beef. I asked to speak to a manager who offered to make me a new burrito but by that time I was pretty full and wouldn’t have been able to eat much more. Instead she gave us $6 off. Not enough. I left half my burrito on my plate because there was so little meat. She should have comped the meal, or at the very least charged only half. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I really enjoyed the food at TaCo! The Crack Dip is what I will be craving for months to come. I enjoyed the nachos as my dinner and could barely eat half. My lower rating comes from the atmosphere and service. The music was pretty loud for the environment which required voices to be louder to be heard. Our waitress was not the most attentive which left a friend without her meal, that had come out incorrectly, for almost 20 minutes after the table had been served. I'll return for the food and hope the rest of my experience is better next time. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
