"Roman tavern" within the Saalburg fort. Delicious food (Roman style) at fair prices. For children and fussy eaters, there are also schnitzel, fries and/or bolognese. Service very attentive, nice and quick. You can stop here when visiting the fort. Significantly cheaper and no less tasty than the high-priced “country inn” 100m next door. Vegetarian options: Salad plate, fried mushrooms. The ambience suits the fort. The service is attentive, friendly and quick. You have to get involved with the food. I have no idea whether it is really seasoned like the ancient Romans, but it definitely tastes exceptional. The prices are not a bargain now, but just acceptable. Very nicely decorated tavern in Roman style. Designed based on ancient Roman recipes from antiquity, but there are also modern dishes. The owner is super nice and helpful. Since it's a museum, you "unfortunately" have to pay the entrance fee, but that's completely OK because it's very nicely designed. Many buildings have been reconstructed on the original foundation walls. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
