just reached Gujranwalafrom Dubai and checked in a small, peaceful and cute guest lodge by the name of "Aspen Lodge". I had my doubts about going to a new place earlier but than once i saw the environs, i liked it. I was accompanied with my family and some family friends. The place we stayed is at end of street and had trees and birds chirping. My kids fell in love with place and wanted to discover Islamabad. We went to dine at a place called Monal at the top of mountains over looking Islamabad. The food was great and the place was so beautiful and high in mountains, the lights of Islamabad sparkled down like stars. Than we went to a model village representing old times, days before Islamabad was made here. We bought some earthen pots and decoration pieces for our drawing rooms. Kids loved the lamps made from mud and salt. Later we went for coffee to a nice place in Jinnah Market. The place was full of people having fun shopping, eating and enjoying themselves. This is not the place made out to be in international media. People were happy. The next day we went to a Dam where we went around in a train buggy and kids loved it. The next day we left for Kuala Lumpur through karachi.
