First things first—don’t do what I did. I ordered through Uber Eats, and somewhere between Taco Libre and my front door, my tacos apparently decided to take the scenic route. After a 1.5-hour journey, they arrived ice cold. Normally that would be game over, but after a quick reheat holy moly. The flavours came roaring back like they’d been waiting for their moment. We ordered nine different tacos because if you’re going to judge a taco joint, you don’t dip your toe in—you cannonball. Every single taco had bold, authentic flavours and perfectly balanced seasoning. The Volcán tacos were the MVPs for me, but there honestly wasn’t a weak link in the bunch. And thank you for using corn tortillas—the only acceptable foundation for a proper taco. The prices are right in line with the competition, but the quality is on another level. These aren’t Taco Bell or TacoTime tacos. These are tacos that make you wonder why you ever settled for fast-food versions in the first place. My only regret is trusting Uber Eats with my dinner. Next time I’ll be picking it up myself because Taco Libre deserves to be eaten the way it was intended. Do yourself a favour and give this place a try. This is a nice little joint to go to when you’re feeling the need for some good Mexican food. Overall, I highly recommend their quesabirrias. They always seem to hit the spot. Service is good and the ambiance is adequate for what it is. I would happily recommend this place to anyone who asks for a good Mexican food recommendation! This is a true definition of hole in the wall. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in this city!! The pastor was soooo good. I left this place and all I could think about was when the next time I could go back. I will definitely try to come back on the weekend to try their specialty tacos.
