The menu of Mexican cuisine under the direction of the popular chef is wonderful at this place. Nothing can be better than tasting nicely cooked carnitas, mexican tacos and menudo. Good horchata is a decent choice.
This restaurant is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Many reviewers have noticed that prices are average for what you receive. It's a good place with the charming atmosphere. 4.1 is what Tacos El Rey received from the Google rating system.

Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and good seating areas. But.. maybe we were the exception to the norm regarding food quality and taste.. Tried three different dishes.. one of which we just disposed of and the other two were just sad.. carne meat was dry, tough and tasteless. no salsa over the enchiladas, only on the tortilla wraps, etc.. I lived in Mexico for over 10 years and my wife is Mexican (she really didn't like it).. I don't remember if I ever had anything any worse while there. Sorry.. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The tacos are bomb I got the asada and lengua highly recommend bean and rice was fire as well. We also had the chips n quac, honestly everything was top tier this is the place to Come for authentic Hispanic eats. The micheladas get at least 2 they do them perfectly. I had a modelo with mine but they offer other beer types as well. I just cant say enough about this location off Sutro/ wedekind. Staff are so helpful and polite always willing to accommodate an bilingual english/Spanish which worked out well for my mother in law who only speaks Spanish. Love when everyone can get what they love TACOOOOOS. Before I forget the restrooms were clean and smelled freshly cleaned. Idk about you but that's important to me. I have my gbabies. Gotta have a place to wash hands and freshen up. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burrito, Torta, Carne Asada Plate, Al Pastor, Torta Ahogada, Birria Goat, Nachos, Tacos Al Pastor, Taco Combination Plate, Carne Asada Wet Burrito, Burrito Mojado De Carne Asada, Chile Relleno Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Not sure about these options we love veggies but also the other stuff sorry.
