This restaurant can be said to be the best of all the restaurants we had in Fukui. It is a cozy and busy restaurant by the river. There is no English menu, only a handwritten one which did befuddle Google Translate. Fortunately, a kind waitress was able to translate. The sashimi was varied, fresh and very delicious. We tried the crab which was in season and it was worth the price. We really love the fried oysters. The sake list are sourced locally and I think you won't find it sold outside the region. Reservations are a must and it is worthwhile. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

It was lunch on 2024.11.25. We don’t speak Japanese but Taihei offered the greatest hospitality and communicated with us with much patience to make sure we were happy with our orders. We were interested in trying the Echizen crab, which I suspect was not on the regular lunch menu, but the chef kindly accommodated and it was absolutely delicious. Our thanks and compliments to the chef and his team. It was good memory for us and we would love to be back. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
