We ordered a vegetable curry with a vegetarian biriyani. We asked for spicy. The curry dish had a few shavings of carrots, onions and potatoes—nothing more. The biriyani had potatoes and pieces of green bell peppers and not much else. Both dishes tasted about the same—nothing sauce. I wouldn’t eat here again. Nothing special. Staff was pleasant. Mango lassi was tasty. We wouldn’t eat here again nor recommend it to others. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–15 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Went here with a large group of 20. We had great service. Atmosphere was good.We ordered many types of curry and I think every type of bread option. I agree with other reviewers that the food was not spicy like typical Middle Eastern food is. But this is also Ecuador, where not much is spicy, and I think the owners were trying to appease to the local crowd. The bread was on par with typical Roti, Naan, Paratha. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Good atmosphere and friendly service combined with tasty Indian food like the Saag Pollo, Chicken Tikka Masala, and delicious naan make Taj Mahal a regular stop in our Cuenca food rotation.
