This restaurant and Gato de Tejada can be both really attractive for tourists. Guests state that it's fine to go here for the Japanese meal. Takamar Sushi provides perfectly cooked sushi, california rolls and fish.

I don’t remember where I read that you can tell the quality of a restaurant from the bathrooms of that restaurant so from now on my reviews will start with the public bathrooms. Takamar sushi has one multi-gender bathroom next to the kitchen. It is clean and is equipped with toilet paper, a hand basin with water and soap and paper towels. However, the sliding door cannot be locked. We visited during Chef Tulio’s Sushi week. To enter the restaurant we had to prepay our order including drinks. Be aware that Takamar does not sell wine. We then squeezed into a small table being carful not to trip on a big tear in the linoleum floor. The table was wobbly, but at least the bench seats against the wall were padded. Takamar’s entry into sushi week was a Naromi Roll, which is a Maki roll filled with jumbo shrimp, creamy avocado topped with a diamond sauce made from shredded kanikama, house sweet sauce, and finished with crispy caramelized leek and served with teriyaki sauce. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so good. The shrimp were tough and the sauce was cloyingly sweet. Our experience was not so good, I don’t think we’ll be back.
