️ Dining inside Kiyomizu-dera was such a special experience! After finishing our visit to the temple, we happened to notice that the outdoor seating area was available, so we quickly grabbed a table before more visitors arrived It was Tsukimi Soba, a hot noodle soup topped with a soft-cooked egg. It was absolutely delicious! The broth was light and flavorful, and the noodles were smooth and satisfying. We finished every last bite in no time The kids loved it too and said they want to come back again next time! Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Right near Kiyomizu Temple, Takinoya is a quiet little spot that focuses on tofu dishes. Their yudofu (simmered tofu) is gentle and smooth, warmed in a small pot with just the right touch of soy sauce. The udon is light and comforting—nothing complicated, just honest food that fills you up. The place is cozy with both indoor and outdoor seats. Outdoor spots have nice natural views, but seating is limited, so better go off-peak or reserve if you can. Prices are fair, and the vibe is calm—perfect for a slow break after walking around the temple. Simple, humble, and quietly satisfying. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000
