Was excited to try this place. Went at 4pm on a Tuesday and it was closed. Thought they closed at 8. Bummer.

— Gotta love a taco truck that combines its southwestern spanish Mexifood menu with Japanese anime/manga _Dragon Ball Z_ -themed selections. I tried the 'Genki Torta' w/ steak. A "torta" is a sandwich on a fresh, toasted white-bread roll: $12 on this day. It's supposed to have cheese, mayo, avocado, onions, lettuce, tomato, cilantro & choice of steak or pork. Little reservoirs of red and green sauce came on the side, both super spicy. I thought at first they'd forgotten the cheese – but like the avocado & mayo, it was just hard to find (still have doubts it even had mayo). They sure don't stint on the meat, though – which was piled high in bean-size nuggets that were too well-done for my taste, and not especially flavorful. Overall: meh. Full disclosure: I'm no fan of beef OR pork. Unfortunately, this truck offers ZERO chicken or fish options. ps: They charge $20 for 'Dragon Soup' with 4oz of ribeye in it; supposedly a ramen dish but they're pretty specific that it's brand Maruchan: The stuff that comes in bulk plastic packets and bowls at Walmart... arguably made from ingredients approximating plastic. Kitchen-made ramen could be great; but feeding people actual Maruchan should be a crime against humanity. Charging $20 for a bowl of it should be punishable by public shaming and enforced noodle-making school.... Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Not sure Vegetarian options: You could probably hold the meat but you'd likely still be paying for it? Maybe you could ask for extra avocado instead. Otherwise, your option is basically ho-hum nacho chips with that drooly cheese sauce all 'Burque nachos seem to have (I haven't had a good nacho made with real cheese, beans, black olives, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream – mmmm – since I lived in Portland, OR). Takoroto does offer (meatless) gummies with chamoy – a briny, savory fruit sauce ('Gomitas del Ermitaño'): which sounds straightup awful. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Unmarked dirt lot in back, and large paved church lot next door Kid-friendliness: — not at these prices — Wheelchair accessibility: — could be a tight fit depending on when you go (entire food park lot is about the size of one for a gas station/convenience store). Early/off-peak hours may be fine. You'll probably have to cross dirt and gravel surfaces to reach this truck; other food park surfaces include wood chips and grass, with occasional mud – which may make for less than ideal wheelchair maneuvering.
