Not only should Kastel be visited, but also Talisman. Delicious coffee is worth trying here. Service at Talisman is something one can call spectacular. The atmosphere is lovely, as people find it. Google users granted the rating of 5 to this place.

A place you don’t want to miss if you’re looking to feed your soul and senses, where inspiring art and fine cocoa are both available to buy, calm music sets the mood, and the welcoming smiles of kind people make you feel right at home.

Never refuse an invitation. In the summer of 2024 I found myself wandering the streets of Pula, Croatia taking in all of the city’s stunning historic beauty. After receiving an intentionally vague tip from a new friend, I happened upon what seemed to be a small art gallery. The gallery was off a quaint unassuming street that from outside seemed to have many of my favorite things inside. Art of course but also plants, music, hand crafted furniture and most importantly coffee! I poked my head in and I was warmly greeted by the gallery owner Ervin, and he invited me in. Just inside the entrance there was a small café nook behind the front counter, and Ervin made me what was the 1st of several delicious cups of coffee. I looked around and I was instantly captivated by the uniqueness of the space and all the works that surrounded me. I eventually sat in a comfortable chair and Ervin, who seemed to have no preconceived notions of me, told me to make myself at home and stay as long as I liked. I spent the next 2 hours looking art, drinking coffee and talking with Ervin in a place that could only be described as a small slice of heaven. And time seemed to stand still. I remember all of our conversations. We spoke about life. We spoke about living, we spoke about art, we spoke about love, we spoke about history and the human condition. Shortly before I left, I met Ervin’s lovely wife and I gained that he probably kept the gallery open later than intended because I was there. I will ever forget this moment in time. Shortly thereafter, I completed my purchase and I collected my cherished art pieces and said my goodbyes. I remember looking back at the art gallery as walked away and feeling grateful that this place existed. But then again what else should I have expected other than magic from a place called ‘Talisman’. Never resist the unfamiliar. *Special thanks to IHAS for your amazing artwork @ihas_art_makes_home
