Eating at this restaurant with a great view of Kanayama Shrine will be a beautiful experience for customers. The good staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. We visited this izakaya while in the area for the wisteria festival at Ashikaga Flower Park, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and you could really feel the care the chef puts into the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The garlic fried rice was a bit on the salty side, but still very flavorful and satisfying. The sashimi was fresh and high quality, and the karaage (fried chicken) was excellent—crispy, juicy, and perfect with a squeeze of lemon. The standout for us was the ika (squid) shumai—honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. Overall, a fantastic local spot with great food and a great vibe. Highly recommend.
