We discovered Tang Jip for the first time right before Mother’s Day and chose it for our Mother’s Day dinner. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, they were already out of one of our favorite dishes, the spicy pork bulgogi, and they also would not refill the banchan. For our family, those are pretty essential parts of the Korean dining experience, so it was disappointing and made it hard to fully judge the restaurant fairly. That said, the dishes we did get were very good. The restaurant stayed extremely busy the entire night with a long line out the door, but they did a good job turning tables quickly and getting people seated efficiently. The service felt a little inconsistent. It sometimes took a while to get assistance, and we often had to ask more than once for things we needed. It may have been because of the holiday rush, but it still impacted the experience. I also think it was a missed opportunity to have ordering kiosks at the table without the ability to pay through them, and table buzzers like many other Korean restaurants would have made getting service much easier. Overall, we would definitely go back because the food itself was good, but probably not on a major holiday like Mother’s Day. Very disappointing experience. The beef bulgogi portion was extremely small, especially for the high prices. They also refused to refill the kimchi, which is unusual for a Korean restaurant. I visited with my kids and paid about $160, but the food quantity and service did not match the price at all. I would not return. Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60

I been to dozens of Korean restaurants and this place easily has the best combination tofu soup I've ever tasted. That very first sip's deep flavor hit me so hard that I could barely believe it. I highly highly recommend trying it out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
