Amazing value here, the owner/chef/sake maker and also gardener (menu features home grown veggies) said he spoke limited English but we had no problems. Had a few courses and sakes for a very affordable price. Everything was amazing and the owners are super nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Happy birthday to the bar owner! We had a memorable night and made new friends. This is a warm cozy bar upstairs with incredible sake (the owner is a brewer), delicious harumaki, and a crowd that’s always down for a good time. Japanese menu only. Don’t skip this spot. I thoroughly enjoyed my night at Tanoshimi. We didn’t have to book or wait to be served. I used my iPhone camera to translate the menu to order food as the owner didn’t speak too much English (albeit did a great job of trying). I had vegetable salad, fried squid, sashimi and the starter they served us on entrance. We were served a selection of 4 different sakes the owner made himself. Was absolutely delicious and very much cherished the experience we had here. My only negative comment is that another customer started chain smoking - so we left earlier than we would have stayed otherwise. All in all I would highly recommend visiting.
