If you happen to be around Ukrainian Catholic Women's League of Canada Arts and Crafts Museum, visit this restaurant. At this place you can try the Chinese cuisine. Cooks at Tao Garden Restaurant do their best to provide guests with good rice noodles, broth and beef brisket. Come here for nicely cooked doughnuts if you are hungry. Delicious milk tea, coffee or ice tea are among the tastiest drinks to degust.

Food is tasty but interior is poor. Staff works fast but they forgot about part of our order.

Was super unimpressed. Me and my friend decided to go to Chinatown for lunch and this is the first place that popped up on google. Located right behind the lucky 97 supermarket. Cramped and minimal parking available in the back alley. First impressions weren't good. The restaurant building itself is super run down and ghetto looking. And the area isn't very good cause there was a group of sketchy looking homeless people in the alley drinking or something. Had to take all our bags in the restaurant cause I didn't want my car to get broken into. The inside of the restaurant is very old and run down looking. We both wondered how it was still open and running. The menu was very small and not many options. Make your own soup. The only good thing was the green onion cakes and spring rolls. But any place can make those. Anyways, my friend had the "marinated pork" but said it looked and tasted as if it were canned pork. And I had the "marinated chicken" but it was bland and flavourless. Small bones left in it and was just overall unappetizing. The tea was just a tea bag in a dirty lookin cup with hot water. We were expecting a pot of tea. There was also only 2 people in the restaurant. Whole experience was not good. Won't be going back and won't recommend. They should just shut down.

This week my friend Diane and I went for lunch in Chinatown at Tao Garden Restaurant...I had never heard of it until recently, when I saw another food friend Lesley eat there. Diane had also been not too long ago! Apparently they’ve only been open for about 10 months.
