Having invited some friends who had travelled to Hull for a "special occasion meal".. The evening was very disappointing.. To the verge of embarrassing.
Starters arrived no problem... 3 of the group had ordered the main course king prawns.. At £21.95 (obviously we ordered various rice/nans at additional cost ) the dish arrived with 3 overcooked prawns and nothing else.. And I mean nothing!
The other curry dishes were acceptable but nothing special.
We pointed out our dissatisfaction with the prawn portion size in particular.. And was pointed in the direction of the manager.
To be fair.. He didn't seem that bothered and somewhat fobbed us off saying it was a very popular dish.. "these are very special prawns"... We'll they must be at over £7 a prawn..!
I must add we are happy to pay these prices if the food is worthy of it... This was definitely not.
We won't be visiting again.
