Got a smattering of tapas on a Tuesday evening. The croquetas de bacalhau were good, the polvo grelhado was great, and the caldo verde and rissois were incredible. The pica pau wasn't quite what I was expecting, but was fine. Something pickled would be a welcome addition! Overall excellent experience, will definitely try the branzino next time I'm in the area. I always try my best to support local business in my town.. Tapisco makes that gesture extremely difficult. The atmosphere was the only positive thing about this place! My wife made plans for us to try this new restaurant and so she had high expectations. The disappointment started with the drinks. My wife ordered Sangria that tasted like powdered fruit punch with old fruit. I had a Portuguese Manhattan that was nothing more that watered down bitters. For more disappointment..Our main course.. My wife ordered Paella, which was basically soupy, soggy rice with seafood. I ordered Chirrasco steak with Rice and Beans. The steak was NOT Chirrasco. I was offended that the owner tried to explain the type of steak it was. It was from the worst part of an aging sick cow, that should have been euthanized. The steak had pieces of fat that I could not cut through. Not to mention how rubbery it was that it snapped back at me! The rice AND beans were watery and i had to drown the in Chimichuri sauce, just to avoid gagging. This place is going to have to re-evaluate their goals. Obviuosly i won't be coming back!
