One of my favorite spots but went there today and it appeared closed down! I pray that they are just remodeling because there aren't any good Mexican restaurants downtown Oakland anymore but them!!

Taqueria La Chata takes over the Kamdesh spot. infrastructure same, halal meats used for mexican entrees, menu: not the usual mex offerings, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, chili releno, yes, plates no proteins: chicken, steak, shrimp, fish, chili verde, chili colorado eats: chili verde (6.95)regular burrito -generous with meats, spicier than i'm used to. rice mushy, beans ok, better than average mex places. burrito good sized, -chips commercial ok -today, cash only -limited seating. news on net: -"Worst $1 Million Trump ever saved" ('truthout', 3/9) citing costs, Pence has "foregone ethics training for Senior White House staff, cabinet nominees and other political appointees.."
