This place used to be so good. I don't know if it's new ownership or what to blame the decline on. The food portions have gotten smaller while the prices have gone up. There is definitely less meat in the dishes too. Service used to be wonderful, however, the last two times we have gone, it's been like there was no server. Someone took our order, Someone delivered our food and then we were ignored. Now we are looking for a new Mexican seafood restaurant in Palm Springs. This is my favorite hometown restaurant! I have been going to San Miguel since I was a kid and first started going to the Thousand Palms location. After they opened the Cat City location right next to my childhood home, this was our new go to location! As a kid, I always ordered a "chiquito bean & cheese burrito" and the owner still remembers this was my go to order that wasn't even on the menu, they always just made it for me! Love this place so much! Taqueria San Miguel forever has my favorite Chips & Salsa, Shrimp Cocktail, Chile Rellenos & Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas! The servers have been like family over the years and they are always in a great mood! My favorite restaurant in Cathedral City! A MUST TRY!
